Stay Bent Fishing is owned and
operated by Rey 'Mundo' Robles. A
local resident of Bridgeport, born and
raised in Ventura County.
Mundo and his wife, Kat, have four
children, that all enjoy the outdoor
experiences of fishing and hunting as
a family.
The same could be said about his
hunting, from Coastal blacktail of
Califorina, to mule deer and elk
thoughout the Western states.
In 2000, Mundo began working full time
for Mono County Sheriff's Department
as a Public Safety Officer. With his
professional experiences in dealing
with the public, Mundo decided to
open up Stay Bent Fishing and
Hunting Guide Service in 2003.
Mundo picked up the art of fly fishing
in 2005. In a short two years, Mundo
won a fly fishing contest, and has also
been written up in papers and
magazines about his successes in fly
fishing.
In 2006, a local guide took him under
his wing and taught him the art of
guiding fly fishing, from still water
nymphing to walk and wade trips.
In 2007 Mundo added fly fishing to his
offered services and hasn't looked
back.
One can say he knows fishing, from
young boy, on cattle boats in Southern
California, Mexico and Baja, to
spending a couple of years in Florida
fishing the flats, Atlantic and Gulf of
Mexico.
