Fly Fishing Services

All Guides are Licensed and Bonded

SPECIAL NOTICE:
O-BANION ASPEN LAKE RANCH PRIVATE WATERS

Stay Bent has been given the opportunity and will be the only guide service to fish this pond, for the first time in 45 years.  The fish found in this pond are rainbow trout from the Mount Whitney original strain, the last of this pure strain in existence.  These fish can range from 1 ½ - 12 lbs with access of 2000 fish per acre.

This 2 ½ acre pond is found in the mountainous setting of Smith Valley, a near 45 minute jaunt from Bridgeport.  The pond ranges from 4 ft to 8 ft, at the deepest.  We will be conducting fly fishing seminars, such as fly casting, different still water techniques and knot tying. All seminars will be conducted on float tubes.  If you’re interested in learning a new technique or just want to get away from the “norm” this might be the ticket.

No license will be necessary.  The fishing allowed on this pond is strictly barbless, and catch and release only. Float tubes, waders and fins will be provided by the ranch. Your rod/reel will be subject to sterilization, as we are trying to protect this disease free water.  We will be booking trips beginning March 15, 2010.  All seminars will be all inclusive packages including lunch, transportation, guide fees and ranch fees.  Only four rods will be allowed per day.

Stay Bent will be fishing these waters in the next week or so, and will be providing pictures and hopefully a video, showing the potential of this unique water.

If you are interested, please call, as we have limited availability.
